Hi, I’m Erica Devapura
I am a fully qualified fitness instructor with 15 years of group fitness experience.
I am also a mum of two girls, a caring wife, a devoted daughter, loving sister, joyful aunty, loyal friend, and I own and operate multiple businesses.
I love the benefits of exercise and the confidence I get.

Why I choose to exercise
Our body is a bio-mechanical engine that needs to be moved.
My family members have diabetes, heart disease, Alzheimer’s and cancer. I’ve seen what these diseases do to the human body.
Science shows, if we treat our body with love and respect we can significantly reduce the risk of getting these diseases. Even cancer.
My purpose: To be the greatest mum that I can be
Like all mums, I want to be around for my kids for as long as possible. Not just around, but active with my kids, even my grandkids.
I want to be able to play on the ground with my children and have no problem standing up. Or go for family holidays and run into the ocean without the risk of injuring my knee or back.
I simply want to do things I love doing for as long as possible. Most of all, being active with my kids.
Is exercise something you want for your body & mind?
As a mum, it’s hard to find 5 minutes to workout. And, when you get 5 minutes, you might just want to sit-down down and have a rest.
I know Mum Life is exhausting, it’s constant and can be overwhelming. But you deserve to do something for yourself, something that you look forward to and enjoy.
This is why I say, you need to enjoy exercise, whatever it is: Walks amidst nature, cycling through bike tracks, dancing to music. To be motivated, you need to look forward to it.
I have intentionally designed my HandBAG workout to be fun and enjoyable. So you enjoy it, and feel motivated to exercise.
Even your kids will look forward to the exercise class.
My exercise class is 100% suitable for beginners. Even if you’ve never worked-out a day in your life!

Giving back to mums in Sri Lanka
My HandBAG workout supports CCC Foundation, a charity based in Sri Lanka.
CCC supports Mum’s who are currently caring for their children who are undergoing cancer treatment at the Maharagama Cancer Hospital.
A part of our well-being class is Gratitude, and being grateful for all our blessings in life.
Simply having healthy children is a blessing for us mums.
